New Gallery Features Larger-Scale Works
The Grand Opening of Pacific Coast Gallery will be held 5-7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, and will feature large works by local artists Jean Kyle and Donna Wright.
Working large can be a hindrance when an artist searches for exhibit opportunities. The Pacific Coast Medical Park is sponsoring the new exhibit space designed for large-scale work. The facility is located at 1957 Thompson, North Bend, (two blocks west of the hospital). The Pacific Coast Gallery is housed in the main building.
In January, a Call to Artists will be released inviting Oregon artists to be considered for solo exhibits in the coming year. All media are welcome including: free-standing sculpture, hangable textile, paintings, and drawings. Submissions will be jurored and chosen works will be displayed for 3 months. Sales will be handled by the artists and no commissions will be charged by the gallery management.
A secondary exhibit space will be available for smaller works of photography and print media.
